About

About
Born in Indiana, but raised in Phoenix, Arizona, I've now been a resident of Spokane since 1980. I am married, with 3 grown children, as well as a granddaughter.

I've been shooting pictures off and on since the 1970's, but I really became passionate about photography in 2000.  Now, I spend much of my free time in pursuit of photographic excellence.

My goal in photography is simple: to capture the beauty I see in the world around me, and share that with others. I've always been in awe of the magnificence of mother nature, and so landscapes were my first photographic love. And besides, there's never a shortage of subjects!

I also like to include the Moon in many images. I was inspired by Ansel Adams' famous shot, Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico. But in shooting moon shots at night,  in recent years, I've been drawn, as well, to nightscapes here in Spokane. There's just something about the city lights, their varied colors, and how they interact with the architecture, that appeals to me.

I hope you enjoy my work, and thanks for visiting my site.
